The Lost Tooth

My 6 year old daughter lost her first tooth today while she was at school. She looks so cute with her little hole in her smile. She was wondering what will the tooth fairy bring her tonight. Of course with her being kid number 3 the oldest two chime in on what they would get when they lost a tooth. The tooth fairy in our house would bring a toy for the first lost tooth and then $2 or &3 after that. Well my son that is 11 tells me that the tooth fairy stopped coming to see him. I feel awful I cant believe we have totally let some of his teeth go without a visit from the tooth fairy. He then tells me he lost a tooth just a couple of days ago and showed me where in his mouth. I asked him why he didnt say anything. He said no point in it the tooth fairy stopped coming. Wow I guess the whole middle child thing is true. He is the 2nd child but the middle boy (yep, 3 boys and 1 girl, you can imagine how spoiled our little girl is).

This is just like the baby book thing. Why do we keep up with everything on our first child, make sure to write it all down and take pictures of it all and then the next child comes along and you start slacking off. I know I cant be the only mom out there that has done this. I try to think about it to not make myself feel so guilty and I ask "does he really still believe or is he saying he does so he can get something"? I really dont want to say anything and ask him especially with a having 5 and 6 year old, but if he still believes I am really surprised his 13 year old brother hasnt said anything to him.

Well the tooth fairy has come tonight. She or he really , lol, didnt bring a toy this time for the first tooth lost but $10. Wow! $10 for one tooth! She is going to go to school telling everyone this and they are going to think the tooth fairy in our house is crazy LOL. We will definitely have to let her know this was a one time thing. The tooth fairy did make two stops in our house tonight, well actually only one has been delivered. My 11 year is still laying in bed watching tv, so I guess I will be sneaking his money under his pillow when I get up in the morning.

First Post

This is my first post talking about being a stay at home mommy.
I have been doing this for almost 7 years now and its great but it has me feeling so tired at times. As I sit here and blog I am surrounded by piles of folded laundry and the dryer about to buzz for the next load to be pulled out. My 5 year old is my youngest child and he hasnt started school yet so he is the only child at home with me during the day, (but he starts kindergarten this August!! Woohoo) and he is asking when lunch is ready. Really its noon and I'm still in my sweats and drinking my coffee. Why cant I wake up?? It could be because its Monday and it rained this morning or not.
I am also a girl scout leader for my daughter's troop. She is 6 years old and a little daisy. I was once a girl scout and absolutely loved those days and thought it would be fun to be my daughter's leader. This has been my first year at it and oh my gosh! I work so much on it for not getting paid! I bring all this up because as I am sitting here with the laundry and the dryer going off and my son asking when's lunch I am also reminded at how I have got to get things together for tomorrow nights meeting.
I work only two days a week at a local Mom's Day Out. It's fun I enjoy doing it and it was something that started so that I didnt have to pay for a preschool for my children. When my son goes to kindergarten this year not sure what I will be doing then. This also comes up because I work on Tuesday's and Thursday's well today being Monday I work tomorrow and need to make sure I have stuff together for in the morning.
My son just asked my for a sandwich for lunch and I was just now reminded that we are out of bread and its time for me to make out the grocery list and go grocery shopping, but first need to go and pick up my paycheck.

So I guess I am done blogging at the moment in time. Your probably reading this thinking why in the world are you on here blogging if you have all this stuff to do. Get off of here and go feed your child. I am, I am. It's just better to send out a quick rant so that I dont leave it all for my husband when he comes home at 5:00.
